Huawei will unveil the P50 series on July 29th

The latest leaks published on Weibo today confirmed Huawei's plans to announce the P50 series at an event to be held on July 29, with the new versions coming with an ultra-wide-angle sensor. The date of the Huawei event was revealed in encrypted hints that referred to 1011011001 to 729, so expectations indicated that the expected date of the event was on July 29, as the Chinese giant presented during the event all of the P50, P50 Pro, and P50 Pro Plus phones.

Another source of leaks in China confirmed that the impact of the spread of Corona, which led to a shortage of chipsets, will lead to Huawei launching the entire P50 series with the feature of connecting to 4G networks only, and the series also includes the Kirin 9000 processor chip.

Also, these specifications are set to support the lowering of the pricing level for the P50 series, while some expectations indicate that the P50 Pro and P50 Pro Plus phones will support 5G networks.

On the other hand, some leaks indicate that the P50 series will come with a distinctive sensor size of 1/1.18 inch for the camera with ultra-wide viewing angles, so it will be one of the largest camera sensors used in smartphones and also the largest sensor with wide viewing angles presented in smartphones so far.

The leaks also indicate that Huawei is introducing a 1-inch Sony IMX800 main sensor in the P50 series, which is the largest sensor used in smartphones.

It is reported that some leaks indicated that the P50 phone comes with an OLED screen with a curved design, while the P50 Pro and P50 Pro Plus come with a distinctive screen with a “waterfall” design on both sides.
