Google looks to compete with Pixel 6

Almost every decision made by Google regarding Pixel phones has been considered a mistake, and as a result, these devices are the most criticized phones, especially since they come from a giant company, not a middle company or a start-up. But the company has a new opportunity with the Pixel 6.

Among these wrong decisions was the huge bump in the Pixel 4 with its versions up to the launch of the Pixel 5 with an average processor, giving up its being as a flagship phone. This is with sticking to only one camera even with the actual need for more than one. But it looks like Google might fix what can be fixed.

Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 6 series in the following months. It often happens sometime between September and November, and this time the series includes two phones, the Standard Edition and the Pro Edition.

And we understand that the release of the new Pixel phones is relatively far away. But despite this, a very important leak was issued by one of the most famous leakers in the technical community, John Prosser, who confirmed important information about the new phones.

According to the leaks, the specifications of the new phones are as follows:

Expected Pixel 6 Specifications

The phone comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen manufactured by Samsung with unknown accuracy. But it turns out it could be a groundbreaking screen due to Google's different trends this time around.

The phone offers 8 GB of RAM, with up to 265 GB of storage. This is in addition to an 8MP front camera and a 50MP dual rear camera for the main lens and 12MP for the ultra-wide lens. The phone is also supposed to include a 4600 mAh battery with fast charging support with an unknown capacity yet.

Pixel 6 Pro expected specifications

As for the Pro version, it comes with a 6.71-inch pOLED screen manufactured by LG. This comes with up to 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The phone offers a 12-megapixel front camera and a triple-lens rear camera:

  • Main sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels.
  • A 48-megapixel telephoto lens for zoom.
  • Ultra-wide sensor with 12 megapixels.

On the other hand, leaks have confirmed that the two phones come with a processor (SoC) developed by Google. To join the club of companies that use processors developed by them, such as Samsung and Apple.

Looking at the specifications, we notice that Google has finally picked what users want. In all previous Pixel versions, we didn't see numbers like those although they were presumably flagship phones.nIt is likely that Google will return to competition strongly if these leaks are true. Especially since the new generation of Pixel phones is expected to come with a completely new design.

But it is important that the new Pixel processor delivers excellent performance, both in terms of processing power, power consumption, and heat.
