Leaks confirm that the new graphics card from AMD includes three times the cores of the RX 6900 XT

AMD is preparing to launch the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT and the smaller version of the graphics card in the coming period, but new leaks confirm that AMD is developing a new version of the graphics card that includes 3 times the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT cores.

Leaks posted on Twitter indicate that the Navi 31 with AMD RDNA 3 architecture comes with a large number of cores up to 15,360.

The design of the third generation of Radeon architecture for Navi cards is based on a multi-chip design to increase the number of cores, and new versions are expected to be launched at the end of next year.

The leaks also indicate that AMD has already come up with a new chip design, which comes in a thinner size, as the current chip occupies an area of 858 mm 2, and reports indicate that the Instinct MI100 features a size of 709 mm 2.

Also, leaks that came via 3DCenter confirmed that the number of cores in the Navi 31 reaches 15360, with 32-bit, which is three times more than the Navi 21 graphics card, the Radeon RX 6900 XT.

It is also expected that RDNA 3 will contain 30 groups in each chip, that is, each chip includes 7680 cores, and the Navi 31 die comes with two graphics chips, bringing the total of cores to 15360.
