MediaTek officially unveils the Kompanio 1300T chip


MediaTek officially announced today the Kompanio 1300T processor chip that launches the 6-nanometer TSMC manufacturing process, targeting tablets and laptops. MediaTek introduced the Kompanio 1300T chip that simulates the Dimensity 1200 chip, but it targets tablets. The new version also features 8 cores, including Cortex-A78 and A55 cores, with a Mali-G77 MC9 graphics card with 9 cores.

The 1300T chip comes with a built-in 5G modem chip that supports sub-6 GHz frequencies, supports two SIM cards, and two mobile networks, with faster communication performance. The chip also supports two screens with a resolution of 1080 pixels or one screen with a resolution of 1440 pixels, and a refresh rate of 120Hz and the processor also supports playback of HDR10 Plus video content.

The APU enhances image quality with artificial intelligence technology, with support for voice commands, and the chip supports cameras with a resolution of up to 108 megapixels, and 4K video recording at 60 frames per second, with HDR support.

The chip also features support for fast connection to 5G networks with quick response in games, and the chip also supports Wi-Fi 6 technology, and Bluetooth 5.2. The company confirms that the first tablets to be launched with the Kompanio 1300T processor chip will come in the period between July and September, and previous leaks indicated that the Honor V7 Pro tablet will be launched during the month of August, but MediaTek has not officially confirmed the support of the tablet with the chip.
