Oppo A16s quietly announced in Europe


The Chinese company Oppo quietly introduced in Europe a new low-cost smartphone - Oppo A16s. The device became available in the Netherlands. Their users can order a smartphone for 149 euros. The first buyers are offered a discount, the standard price is 179 euros. 

The model continues the work of the Oppo A16 that debuted in July, the main difference was the appeared NFC support, which is not so and is often found in inexpensive smartphones in Europe. Plus, Oppo A16s added memory.  

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of HD + (1600 x 720 pixels) with a teardrop notch for an 8-megapixel front camera, a main triple camera (13 megapixels, 2 and 2 megapixels), a fingerprint scanner on the side. 

The hardware base is the MediaTek Helio G35 single-chip system, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal flash memory - instead of 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash memory. The 5000mAh battery supports 10W charging. There is support for two SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, there is a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

Dimensions are 163.8 x 75.6 x 8.4 mm, the smartphone weighs about 190 grams. The smartphone runs on the Android 11 operating system with ColorOS 11.1 shell.
