Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra name confirmed

Recently, there were rumors that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra could be rebranded as the Galaxy Note 22 Ultra as the phone will have a built-in S Pen slot and should replace the Galaxy Note series in the market. However, it is not.

The well-known network informant under the nickname Ice Universe, who regularly shares exclusive information about the latest mobile industry, said that the top model in the Galaxy S series will definitely be called the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and not the Galaxy Note 22 Ultra. The phone will indeed have some of the Note series' features, but the company adheres to the naming conventions for the flagship Galaxy S series.

Recent renders show that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a body similar to the Galaxy Note 20, with sharper corners of the body and screen. The phone is expected to feature a 6.8-inch QHD + Super AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate. The smartphone will be built around a Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC or Exynos 2200 SoC with an AMD GPU depending on the market. It is expected to come with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of flash storage. The main camera must have an image sensor with a resolution of 108 megapixels, the device will operate on a 5000 mAh battery.

The 6.7-inch Galaxy S22 + is expected to account for 20% of shipments, while the 6.8-inch Galaxy S22 Ultra will account for 20-30%. In this case, 50% or even more will be the Galaxy S22. The same source confirmed that accessory makers have already launched cases for the Samsung Galaxy S22, after which high-quality images in different colors have been published.

Ice Universe has provided accurate information on Samsung smartphones and image sensors many times, including the recent announcements of new 50MP and 200MP sensors. He was also the first to show accurate images of smartphones with waterfall screens.
