Apple today pushed the watchOS 8.1.1 update (internal version number: 19R580) to Apple Watch users.
According to the official documentation, the update adds SharePlay Fitness+ group exercise and other features, and solves the problem that may cause Apple Watch Series 7 to fail to charge certain users as expected . Some Apple Watch Series 7 users have noticed that their devices are charging slowly, and this update should fix the bug that caused the problem.
Apple’s official website shows that this update is only applicable to Apple Watch Series 7 (GPS + cellular data) models , and other versions should not receive updates.
Apple pushed the watchOS 8.1 version update last month, enhanced the fall detection algorithm during physical training, supported AirPods 3, and made a series of fixes. This minor version of watchOS 8.1.1 update is a minor patch to this version.
Users who install the update must make sure that the Apple Watch is charging and within the communication range of the iPhone connected to the wireless LAN.
