Xiaomi has announced that the Russian start of sales of the Xiaomi 11T series has been postponed to a later date. As a reminder, the company held a Russian presentation of the Xiaomi 11T series two weeks ago - on October 19, 2021. Acceptance of pre-orders began on October 22. At the time of the announcement, Xiaomi announced that open sales of the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro will begin on November 5.
According to the press service of the Chinese company, now, instead of what was originally announced on November 5, the new items will appear in Russian stores later - only from November 9, 2021.
The reason for this step is the tightening of epidemiological measures. The head of Xiaomi in Russia and the CIS, Yu Man, explained:
Xiaomi has long been a leader in online sales of smartphones in the Russian market. However, in recent years, we have done everything to maximize the consumer experience when shopping offline. Striving to be closer to our customers, during these two years we managed to open hundreds of stores throughout the country. Nevertheless, the tightening of epidemiological measures has led to the temporary closure of offline stores, which is why those wishing to familiarize themselves with our new products will have to wait in person. To provide all buyers with a level playing field, we decided to synchronize the start of online and offline sales. In addition, we have prepared additional surprises to delight our users and fans. "
