TCL Huaxing’s 8.6th generation oxide semiconductor new display device project (t9 project) main plant roof topping and clean construction ceremony were held in Huangpu District, Guangzhou.
Zhao Jun, COO of TCL Huaxing, pointed out that the t9 project started construction on March 1, 2021, and the topping of the main plant was achieved ahead of schedule today. It is the first LCD panel production line project in the history of TCL Huaxing that started construction in the same year and achieved the ceiling in the same year.
In 2021, TCL Huaxing and Guangzhou will jointly launch the t9 project. Through independent development of HFS and high mobility oxide technology, it will create a high-efficiency, high-flexibility, and high-precision benchmark production line to produce larger size, Innovative products with higher refresh rate, higher resolution, and lower energy consumption, to achieve full coverage of multiple applications.
Officials stated that as an LCD panel production line that focuses on high-end IT and professional displays, the t9 project will give full play to its technical advantages, scale advantages, and efficiency advantages to help TCL Huaxing enter a new stage of diversification and large-scale operations in an all-round way.
The t9 project is expected to achieve mass production in the first quarter of 2023, and full production in the first quarter of 2024. After full production, it will contribute an annual output value of 30 billion yuan to Guangzhou and help Guangzhou build the “display capital of the world”.
