Alienware Shows First Quantum Dot OLED Display


Alienware showed the new AW3423DW QD-OLED gaming monitor at CES, using Samsung's curved QD-OLED panel, where QD stands for Quantum Dot quantum dots. According to reports, Alienware's 34-curved QD-OLED gaming monitor has a resolution of 3440x1440, an aspect ratio of 21:9, supports Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate, and has a refresh rate of up to 175 Hz (via DP). Its typical brightness is only 250 cd/m², and since this is an HDR-capable monitor, it can reach 1000 cd/m² in HDR mode. The monitor features one DisplayPort 1.4 port, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and three 5 Gbps USB 3.2 ports, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Alienware announced that the monitor will be launched in the US market as soon as March 29. The price has not been announced yet, and the domestic price is expected to reach 5 digits.
