Apple iPhone 15 series will be equipped with periscope telephoto lens

Analyst Jeff Pu said that at least one iPhone 15 series product launched in 2023 will be equipped with a periscope camera system to enhance its optical zoom capability.

With the help of the periscope system, the light from the telephoto lens will be reflected by the tilted mirror to the image sensor. The change in the direction of light propagation will allow Apple to install a longer telephoto device in the iPhone, allowing users to further enlarge the image without blurring.

Since the beginning of 2020, rumors about the iPhone being equipped with a periscope lens have been circulating. Well-known analyst Guo Mingchi first mentioned this possibility. He initially stated that the periscope lens will become an exclusive feature of the iPhone 14 Pro.

Indeed, the Android camp already has periscope lens phones, including Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra and Huawei’s P40 Pro +. Both devices have up to 10x optical zoom, I don't know what else Apple can make.
