Apple's comprehensive outlook for new products in 2022

After the small-scale release of new products in 2021, Apple will usher in a stronger 2022. The company will launch new iPhones, Macs, AirPods, and virtual reality that may appear ( VR) headsets.

Mac: Complete the transition from Intel to self-developed chips in June

Apple is developing a series of new professional-grade Mac computers based on M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, which are already installed in MacBook Pro. The new products include a smaller Mac Pro with up to 40 CPU cores and 128 GPU cores, a new Mac mini, and a large-screen iMac Pro. Apple will complete the transition from Intel chips to self-developed chips at the World Developers Conference (WWDC) in June at the earliest. Apple is also expected to release an external display in the new year, the price is about half of Pro Display XDR. For the notebook product line, MacBook Air will usher in the largest redesign in history, and the entry-level MacBook Pro will be updated. Apple will also launch a new iPad Pro that supports wireless charging.

iPhone and Apple Watch

In terms of mobile phones and watches, Apple will launch the 5G version of the iPhone SE in the first half of this year, and release the iPhone 14 series with perforated screens in the fall. Apple is also developing three new Apple Watches: the new SE, Series 8, and a rugged version for extreme sports enthusiasts.

VR headsets become the biggest suspense

In 2022, Apple will be most concerned about whether it will release its first VR headset code-named N301 (supporting some augmented reality functions) and an operating system code-named "Oak." However, this product has skipped votes before. Apple's original goal was to release it in 2020 and then postpone it to WWDC 2021, and the current target release date is WWDC 2022.
