First Phison Controller for PCIe Gen5 Gaming SSDs will introduce in CES

Phison Electronics, a solid-state drive controller company, will be showcasing a new generation of gaming solutions at CES 2022, January 5-8. Among them is the first Phison controller with PCIe Gen5 support for desktop gaming PCs.

The Phison PS5026-E26 controller is said to have a best-in-class combination of performance and power efficiency through a unique proprietary architecture. The manufacturer notes that the E26 is a custom SSD platform that will cover the enterprise and consumer markets.

Also on display will be the PS5021-E21T, a new high-performance PCIe Gen4 controller that works without DRAM caching. The manufacturer calls it the successor to the E19T model.
