Netgear launches Nighthawk RAXE300 WiFi 6E router

NETGEAR today announced the launch of its latest Nighthawk router-Nighthawk RAXE300 tri-band WiFi 6E router, which provides a 6GHz frequency band for devices compatible with WiFi 6E.

RAXE300 provides up to 8 WiFi streams and supports up to 7.8Gb/s Gigabit + WiFi speed in a 230 square meter home. Built-in six antennas to improve signal strength and coverage, and a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port for Gigabit+ connection. Another five Gigabit Ethernet ports can be used for wired connections with other smart home devices.

The 6GHz WiFi frequency band is only suitable for some of the latest digital devices, so its congestion level is lower, and it can provide faster connection speeds and lower latency.

This is the third WiFi 6E router from Netgear. The first two are the more expensive Nighthawk RAXE500 and Orbi Quad-Band Mesh WiFi 6E. RAXE300 will be listed in the first quarter of 2022, priced at US$400 (approximately RMB 2548).

Netgear also announced the launch of Netgear Game Booster, a new service that provides Orbi users with the same tools that are usually limited to Nighthawk ProGaming routers. Orbi users will be able to improve network performance and minimize latency by identifying and selecting the fastest game server and prioritizing the network bandwidth of gaming devices and applications.
