Power Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd.: The company purchased equipment from Sumitomo Heavy Industries

Power Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation issued an announcement on ordering machinery and equipment. From the second half of 2021 to the present, Power Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. has purchased machinery and equipment from Sumitomo Heavy Industries (Sumitomo Heavy Industries) and Taiwan Taifook High-tech Equipment Co., Ltd. for a total of NT$1.14 billion. According to statistics, in 2021, Power Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. announced that the cumulative amount of machinery and equipment orders reached 26.674 billion (approximately RMB 6.159 billion). Suppliers include Applied Materials, Tokyo Electronics, Ram Research, Kelei, Cisco Semiconductor, and Canon Semiconductor Equipment Companies and Nikon, etc.

The company currently has two 8-inch and three 12-inch wafer fabs and continues the Open Foundry business model. Powerchip Semiconductor’s predecessor was Powerchip Semiconductor, a DRAM factory established in 1994. Powerchip Group completed its corporate reorganization in May 2019.
