Rumor: Apple's new iPhone SE 3 / iPad Air 5 / entry-level iPad has been imported to India

An unannounced iPhone, an entry-level iPad, and possibly the next-generation iPad Air have been imported to India and are expected to be released this spring.

Last month, Apple submitted two new iPads and one new iPhone in the Eurasian Economic Commission database, with model numbers not associated with any products currently released. These same models have since been cross-referenced by "industry sources" cited in a new report by 91mobiles, suggesting that Apple has begun importing the devices into India for "testing purposes."

Apple is widely rumored to update several of its products in the spring, with the iPad Air and iPhone SE expected to receive modest updates. The iPad Air 5 is Apple's mid-range model, which starts at $599 and will get phone-like 5G connectivity, an A15 bionic chip, and support for character centering. The iPhone SE 3, which starts at $399, is expected to get 5G support, an A15 Bionic chip, and the same 4.7-inch display as the current model.
