Apple completed development of new display 'months ago'

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said in his latest Power On newsletter that Apple completed the development of the external display " a few months ago " and plans to use it in the latest 14-inch and 16-inch MacBooks. Pro launched shortly after.

Apple is reportedly working on two external monitors, a successor to the high-end Pro Display XDR and a more affordable consumer monitor. According to Gurman, Apple completed the development of its next-generation external monitor "months ago" and plans to launch it shortly after the latest MacBook Pro in October 2021.

It was previously reported that Apple will announce a redesigned Mac mini at a press conference on Tuesday, so it is not impossible to launch an affordable display at the same time. It was previously reported that the price of the display is about half that of the Pro Display XDR, at $2,500 (about 15,850 yuan).

According to a 9to5Mac report, Apple is working on a display with a 7K resolution and a built-in A13 chip, which could be another high-end display.
