Apple Gives Swift Challenge Winners AirPods Pro and WWDC22 Coat and Brooch Set

It is less than two weeks before Apple's WWDC22 developer conference. Today, Apple has announced the winners of the annual Swift Student Challenge. In addition to the traditional prizes in recent years, Apple has also Give a pair of AirPods Pro as an extra gift.

This year's WWDC Student Challenge took place on Apple's Swift programming language learning app, Swift Playgrounds 4. As in previous years, students from around the world can create a Swift project of their choice with the goal of creating an interactive scene that can be experienced in under three minutes.

Apple began notifying the winners of the challenge this morning after the deadline for submitting projects at the end of April.

Like in years past, Apple is offering a free one-year developer program membership, as well as a coat and brooch set for WWDC22. But this year Apple also added an award, the AirPods Pro, to further recognize students' "hard work."

Last year, the outerwear included a hoodie and cap, as well as six fun WWDC21 badges, and it's unknown what the prize will look like this time around.

Apple just announced the full schedule of WWDC22 early this morning.
