China 5G download speed remains more than ten times that of 4G

The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released the "5G Cloud Testing Platform Monitoring Report for the First Quarter of 2022" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report"). In the first quarter, the actual measurement data of the network rate of the 5G cloud test platform adopts the "App + cloud platform" model, and the users of the 5G cloud test App actively conduct network rate tests.


According to the report, China's 5G download rate remains more than ten times that of 4G. The measured data of the 5G cloud testing platform shows that in the first quarter of 2022, the average download rate of 5G users in my country is 304.8Mbps (the average user upload rate is 49.6Mbps), and the average user download rate of 4G is 27.8Mbps (The average user upload rate is 2.9Mbps), Wi-Fi average user download rate is 179.7Mbps (average user upload rate is 36.3Mbps).

From the perspective of user experience in different provinces, the average download rate of 5G users in Heilongjiang, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Hainan, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Xinjiang, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shandong, etc. is relatively high, and the highest can reach 358.8Mbps. The average upload rate of 5G users in Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Hainan, Heilongjiang, Gansu, Shanghai, Hunan, Xinjiang, and Henan is relatively high, and the highest can reach 69.8Mbps.

From the perspective of user experience in key cities (31 provincial capital cities and 5 cities with separate plans), the average 5G users in Harbin, Qingdao, Kunming, Ningbo, Shijiazhuang, Urumqi, Haikou, Shenyang, Jinan, Shanghai, etc. The download rate is high, the highest can reach 389.2Mbps. The average upload rate of 5G users in Jinan, Kunming, Harbin, Zhengzhou, Haikou, Guiyang, Guangzhou, Dalian, Urumqi, Shanghai, etc. is relatively high, and the highest can reach 76.7Mbps.


5G mobile terminal SA connections account for more than 75%. my country's 5G SA network has basically achieved nationwide coverage, and the 5G SA function is enabled by default for newly connected 5G mobile terminals. The measured data of the 5G cloud testing platform shows that my country's 5G mobile terminal SA connections account for 76.8%, and NSA connections account for 23.2%. Among them, the mainstream mobile terminal SA connections such as Honor, Samsung, OPPO, Huawei, Realme, and iPhone all account for more than 90%.
