HTC's new flagship smartphone exposed

There was a time in the Android world, HTC was Apple's strong competitor. But then the situation changed, HTC's mobile phone share fell rapidly, HTC has tried many times to keep pace with competitors, but failed.

For nearly two years, HTC has abandoned the smartphone business, demonstrating its inability to create a competitive product. However, maybe the company will try again to enter the mobile device market. Dutch certification body Telefication said it had checked the HTC 2QBK200 model for compliance with Japanese law.

The certification body did not share any details about the new product, not even knowing whether it will be a flagship device or a mid-range device.

According to previous reports, HTC plans to launch its first flagship Android phone in June.

Taiwanese media DigiTimes said it was confirmed by HTC Vive Asia Pacific CEO Charles Huang at the HTC MWC 2022 event.

The new HTC flagship will be the first flagship phone since the HTC U12+ released in 2018. HTC's upcoming flagship will focus on augmented and virtual reality applications and will support deep integration with HTC's own open-source Metaverse platform called Viveverse.

HTC sold most of its smartphone business to Google back in 2018 and has only released budget and mid-range smartphones in certain markets since then.
