Sony's new WH-1000XM5 headset price exposure

Sony announced today that it will hold a new product launch at 8:00 am Beijing time on May 13, 2022, and is expected to release the new WH-1000XM5 noise-canceling headphones.

According to Jon Prosser, a well-known whistleblower, the WH-1000XM5 is priced at $399 (about 2,653.35 yuan), and the price of the old XM4 will be adjusted to $349 (about 2,320.85 yuan).

In addition, Jon Prosser also said that Sony's new LinkBuds S headset will be released on May 18, priced at $199 (about 1323.35 yuan).

The packaging of the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones confirms that the headphones support Sony's latest  360RA spatial audio and have 30-hour battery life.

According to previous reports, this headset will support Bluetooth 5.2 connection, retaining a 3.5mm audio jack and USB-C interface; in terms of noise reduction, it is reported that the headset is equipped with two dedicated chips and three microphones to eliminate noise. Additionally, the switches on this headset appear to have been replaced by sliders, while the Custom button has been renamed to NC/Ambient.

The Sony WH-1000XM4 is currently priced at 1999 yuan on JD.com.
