Apple iOS / iPadOS 16.1 public beta Beta 3 released

Apple today pushed the iOS 16.1 public beta Beta 3 update (build number: 20B5056e) to iPhone users. This update is 7 days after the last release. In addition, iPadOS 16.1 also ushered in a new public beta.

The updated content of the public beta version is basically the same as the developer preview version pushed yesterday. For Apple iPad users, Apple has extended the pre-stage scheduling function to the iPad Pro equipped with the  A12X or A12Z chip, but there is a lack of functionality and cannot support the use of external displays. The feature was previously only available on iPads with the M1 chip.

In the latest update to iOS 16.1, Apple added a new Modify Wallpaper option in Settings, removed the Matter accessory, and added a new toggle option that allows apps to automatically start downloading their in-apps after download and before the user first launches content.

Apple will bring real-time activity notifications to users in iOS 16.1, and users will be able to see the real-time messages of the App on the lock screen and Smart Island.
