During the September 2022 Nanning Major Project Commencement and Completion Event held in Nanning on September 9, BYD's 10GWh hybrid battery and 5GWh new battery production base projects started.
The total planned land area of the project is about 975 mu, which is mainly used for the research and development, production, and manufacture of battery cells, modules, and other products. After the project is fully put into production, the annual output value will exceed 10 billion yuan, and about 9,000 new jobs will be created.
Data show that BYD's new energy vehicle sales in August were 174,915 units, compared with 61,409 units in the same period last year. BYD's cumulative sales volume in the first eight months was 983,844 units, a year-on-year increase of 164.03%.
BYD's total installed capacity of new energy vehicle power batteries and energy storage batteries in August 2022 is about 7.553GWh, and the total installed capacity in 2022 is about 48.883GWh.
