The Beidou satellite system is the third mature global satellite navigation system independently developed by my country after the US GPS and Russia's GLONASS. On July 31, 2020, the Beidou-3 global satellite navigation system was officially launched. The global positioning accuracy of Beidou-3 is better than 10 meters, the speed measurement accuracy is better than 0.2 m/s, the timing accuracy is better than 20 nanoseconds, and the service availability is better than 99%. At present, the Beidou global satellite navigation system has been fully completed and opened, entering a new era of serving the world. The Beidou system has been widely used in transportation, public safety, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, hydrological monitoring, weather forecasting, communication time statistics, power dispatching, disaster prevention and mitigation, and other fields.
Yang Changfeng, the chief designer of China's Beidou satellite navigation system engineering, said that at present, Beidou's equipment rate in key operating vehicles, official ships, auxiliary navigation facilities, and systems has reached 100%, helping to reduce the incidence of major traffic accidents by 93%; Intelligent agricultural machinery such as manned agricultural machinery and plant protection drones have entered the production line to achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement. At the same time, through smartphones, vehicle terminals, wearable devices, and other application products, Beidou is fully serving all aspects of people's life.
The Mate50 series released by Huawei not long ago supports the Beidou short message function. In addition, the world's first "Beidou quantum mobile phone" was released in Guangxi on September 17 , supporting 4G / 5G / Beidou short message adaptive quantum encryption communication.
