Honor Tablet X8 Lite model appeared on the global official website

The Honor Tablet 8 debuted in China in July this year, and it is now being rolled out to the global market. Now, the company has listed an Honor Pad X8 Lite on its website, which sounds like a cheaper version, and upon further verification, the device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 chip (MediaTek MT8786, 2 × Cortex A75 2.0GHz+ 6×Cortex A55 1.8GHz) and new Android system version.

The Honor Pad X8 Lite tablet features a 9.7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Internally, it uses 32GB of storage, far less than the 128GB option that Honor offers its home users. There's no mention of RAM, which hopefully will be 4GB.

The device has a 5MP camera on the back and no flash. There's also a 2MP front-facing camera that supports video calling.

The device uses the Magic UI 6.1 system based on Android S (Android 12). The Honor Pad X8 Lite has been certified by TUV Rheinland for low blue light.

Other specs include two large speakers on the short sides, a 5100 mAh battery that charges via a micro USB port, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. There is no 3.5mm jack.

The Honor Pad X8 Lite is listed in the new mint color on the global website, with no information on availability or whether there is an LTE model. The tablet is expected to sell for less than $200.
