On August 27, Ningde Times and Geely’s Jikr jointly announced that Jikr is the first brand for the global mass production of Kirin batteries. JK 009 is the first model of Kirin battery, and JK 001 will be the world's first model equipped with Kirin 1000km battery.
At that time, An Conghui, CEO of Jikr Intelligent Technology, said that the Jikr 009 equipped with the Kirin battery version will be delivered in the first quarter of 2023. The JK 001 with Kirin 1000km battery version will also be launched in the second quarter of 2023.
The first Kirin battery of CATL adopts the third-generation CTP technology of CATL, with a volume utilization rate of up to 72%, an energy density of up to 255Wh/kg, and a battery life of more than 1,000 kilometers.
At the same time, the Kirin battery also adopts the world's first large-surface cooling technology for battery cells, which can support a 5-minute fast hot start and 10-minute fast charge. Ningde Times said that under the same chemical system and the same battery pack size, the power of the Kirin battery pack is 13% higher than that of the 4680 system.
In addition to the Krypton brand, on August 27, CATL and Celis jointly announced that Kirin batteries will be launched in the new AITO series of models. The two parties have signed a five-year long-term strategic cooperation agreement, and AITO models will be fully equipped with Ningde era power batteries. . The Kirin battery that will be equipped on the new AITO series models is the third-generation CTP technology of CATL.
