Microsoft Surface Gaming gaming notebook exposure

Microsoft's Surface series has a variety of options, from standard two-in-one devices to Surface Laptop in notebook form, to Surface Studio in all-in-one form, Microsoft Surface has carried out a variety of forms try. Judging by the latest revelations, Microsoft appears to be gearing up to launch its first gaming-focused Surface Gaming laptop.

According to specs spotted by Prime Gaming, the Microsoft Surface Gaming laptop might have some high-end specs.

It is reported that the Surface Gaming laptop is equipped with a 16-inch PixelSense Flow Display display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a refresh rate of 165Hz, and support for Dolby Vision. The shell is made of magnesium-aluminum alloy and has two colors platinum and matte black. It comes with a one-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

The machine size is 357.37 x 245.11 x 19.55mm, equipped with 16GB or 32GB LPDDR4x memory , optional 256GB / 512GB / 1TB / 2TB SSD storage, two configurations are:

  • i5-12500H (12 cores 16 threads) processor + RTX 3050 Ti 4GB independent display + 102W power supply + 1957.6g weight + 16 hours battery life
  • i7-12700H (14 cores 20 threads) processor + RTX 3070 Ti 8GB dedicated graphics + 127W power supply + 2019.9g weight + 15 hours battery life

In addition, the machine is equipped with 3 Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 ports, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack, Surface power jack, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, Windows Hello face recognition, 1080p camera...etc.


If the revelations are true, then this will be the most powerful generation of Surface notebooks. Microsoft launched the first-generation Surface RT tablet series on October 26, 2012. Sources tell The Verge that Microsoft plans to launch a new product this fall to mark the 10th anniversary of the Surface. We can look forward to a launch later this year or at CES 2023.
