South Korea's semiconductor exports in the first 20 days of September increased by 3.4% year-on-year

Data previously released by the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy showed that due to the global economic slowdown, reduced demand, and price declines, South Korea’s semiconductor exports in August were 10.78 billion US dollars, down 7.8 % year-on-year. %, falling again after 26 months.

Judging from the latest data, after the decline in August, the export value of South Korean semiconductor products has begun to rebound this month, recovering the growth momentum year-on-year.

According to the latest data released by the Korea Customs Service, in the first 20 days of this month, South Korea's semiconductor exports increased by 3.4% year-on-year.

However, judging from the data released by the Korea Customs Service, compared with the previous 10 days, the export value of semiconductor products in the first 20 days of this month has slowed down year-on-year. Data previously released by the Korea Customs Service showed that the export value of semiconductor products in the first 10 days of September increased by 7.9% year-on-year.

In addition, compared with the previous 10 days, the number of working days in the first 20 days also decreased slightly compared with the same period last year. Due to a 4-day holiday, the first 10 days of the month in South Korea only had 6.5 working days, two days less than the 8.5 days in the same period last year. In the first 20 days of this month, the working day in South Korea was 13 days, compared with 14.5 days in the same period last year.

Although the growth rate is slowing down, considering that Apple's iPhone 14 is shipping in large quantities, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, the two major memory chip manufacturers, will supply NAND flash memory and DRAM in large quantities. In September, the export value of South Korea's semiconductor products increased significantly. The probability will return to growth year-on-year.
