The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) today released its latest research on electronic products and home appliances. This year, Apple again won the Most Satisfying PC category, beating Samsung, Amazon, Acer, Dell, Asus, and HP, but by a small margin.
ACSI today released the new report based on nearly 10,000 respondents between July 2021 and June 2022. The PC category includes desktops, laptops, and tablets.
"Desktop satisfaction recovered, up 3% to an ACSI of 80. This improvement puts desktops in the lead. Laptops and tablets both scored 79, with the former edged up 1% and the latter 4% higher."
Overall, Apple's Mac and iPad experience scores of 82 are 2 points higher than the desktop average and 3 points higher than the PC average of 79 (both laptops and tablets). 82 is also the score Apple achieved last year.
Samsung was slightly behind Apple with 81 points, and Acer, Amazon, Asus, Dell, and Lenovo tied for third with 79 points.
Amazon had the biggest year-over-year increase, with a 7% increase in satisfaction. Here are the scores when looking at desktops, laptops, and tablets individually:
