V agency issued a document today that it is expediting the processing of Steam Deck reservations. This is due to accelerated production and once again exceeding official expectations. Including the batch of emails sent today, Valve has sent out invites for preorders scheduled for the third quarter (July-September).
With pre-orders for the third quarter processed ahead of schedule, Valve was able to quickly begin processing the next batch of pre-orders, which are currently being processed for the fourth quarter. Valve has updated the store page with this new situation and updated a pre-order group description: September-December.
Valve previously announced that Steam Deck will be released in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong later this year. Pre-orders have been opened in these four regions. The starting price of the Steam Deck Hong Kong version is 3288 Hong Kong dollars (about 2827.68 yuan), the starting price of the Taiwan version is NT$13,380 (about 3023.88 yuan), the starting price of the Japanese version is 59800 yen (about 3019.9 yuan), and the starting price of the Korean version is 589,000 won. (about 3039.24 RMB).
Steam Deck is equipped with AMD's Van Gogh APU, and its CPU part adopts Zen2 architecture, 4-core specification, 2.4 GHz to 3.5 GHz. In the GPU part, the Van Gogh APU integrates an 8 CU RDNA2 GPU with a frequency of 1.0 GHz to 1.6 GHz and performance of 1.6TFops FP32. The TDP of the entire SoC is 4 to 15W, and it supports LPDDR5 memory with a capacity of 16GB.
