Vladimir Putin instructed to ensure Russia's independence from foreign software

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to take measures to ensure the technological independence of Russia from currently used foreign software. The head of state was also instructed to prepare proposals on special conditions for the use of foreign software, contracts under which Russian users are unable to comply.

The list of instructions also states that the Government of the Russian Federation needs to develop and approve the concept of technological development for the period up to 2030. This concept should include measures to support institutions and mechanisms to stimulate business. Vladimir Putin also gave a number of instructions for additional support for Russian start-ups. Russians will be granted a tax deduction for long-term investments in securities of Russian companies, including technical ones.
