The South Korean media revealed that Peter Vinick went to South Korea again after half a year to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of their semiconductor cluster in Hwaseong. ASML's project is scheduled to break ground on Wednesday.

Hwaseong is about 40 kilometers south of Seoul. ASML Hwaseong Semiconductor Cluster covers an area of ​​16,000 square meters, including maintenance centers, training, and R&D centers, and education and experience centers, and is planned to be completed in 2024.

For the semiconductor cluster built in Hwaseong, Peter Vinick believes that it will play an important role in cooperation with local customers, and the training center in the cluster will bring advanced technologies closer to customers.

As for the meeting with Lee Jae-Yong mentioned by the Korean media in the previous reports, ASML has not yet announced relevant news, but considering that Lee Jae-Yong went to ASML's headquarters during his European business trip in June, Peter Weinick will go to South Korea this time, and he will most likely also go to Samsung Electronics' headquarters to meet with Lee Jae-Yong, who will soon be promoted to Samsung Electronics' executive chairman.
