Huawei Mate Xs 2 opens the Beidou satellite news of the Mate 50 piercing the sky

Huawei said at yesterday's HDC2022 developer conference that it took Huawei nearly three years of continuous exploration to make Huawei's Mate50 series' dream of connecting Jiuxiao come true. Therefore, the Huawei Mate 50 series broke through the three core technical challenges of high loss, low power, and low gain, and became the world's first mass smartphone that supports Beidou satellite news.

Today, Huawei officially announced that the Beidou satellite messaging function of the Mate Xs 2 has officially opened for public testing! From November 5, 2022, Huawei MateXs2 users can apply for experience by entering the [My Huawei] App home page - Beidou Public Test interface.

In September this year, Huawei released the Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro series of mobile phones. The new phones are equipped with a technology that "pierces the sky upwards" - satellite news, which is the world's first mass smartphone that supports Beidou satellite news.

This function can break through the limitations of the ground network. In an environment without ground network signal coverage, you can still send messages through the "Beidou Satellite Message" service number in the Changlian App to keep in touch with the outside world. Currently, this feature is only available in mainland China, excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
