Redmi K20 series to arrive in India on July 17

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 smartphones in India on July 17. Dubbed as flagship killers, both the handsets sport a full-screen design, triple rear cameras, pop-up selfie cameras, and a 4,000mAh battery. Notably, the announcement was made via the official Twitter handle of Xiaomi India.

Upfront, both Redmi K20 Pro and K20 share the same design featuring an all-screen look achieved by adopting a pop-up selfie camera. On the other hand, the gradient finished glass back houses vertically stacked triple cameras. Further, both models sport a 6.39-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor.

On the imaging front, both the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 house triple rear cameras comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) main sensor, a 13MP (f/2.4) secondary sensor, and another 8MP (f/2.4) sensor. The main camera supports 4K video recording at upto 60fps. Moreover, both handsets sport a 20MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper housed in a motorized pop-up module.

The Redmi K20 Pro packs a flagship Snapdragon 855 processor while the Redmi K20 is fueled by Snapdragon 730 chipset. These phones offer upto 8GB of RAM and upto 256GB of storage. Under the hood, the Pro model packs a 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support whereas the standard K20 houses the same 4,000mAh battery but with 18W fast-charging support.

In China, the Redmi K20 Pro starts at CNY 2,499 (Rs. 25,200), while the standard K20 is priced at CNY 1,999 (Rs. 20,200). Hence, we expect both models to arrive at a similar price point in India.
