iOS 14 strengthens the security of Messages via the Blastdoor sandbox

When presenting iOS 14, Apple had focused on the new features of Messages, such as options for group conversations, or targeted replies, but the application now has its own integrated "  sandbox  " called Blastdoor . Discovered by Samuel Groß, a security researcher for Google's Project Zero, Blastdoor is an additional layer of protection dedicated to messages on iOS.

If iOS Apps are already running in sandbox mode, Blastdoor analyzes the content of incoming messages in an isolated environment, in order to detect possible pieces of malicious code, and thus face the attacks integrated into the messages which are increasing in recent times.
