Upcoming Galaxy Tab with HELIO P22T surfaces On geekbench listing

Now, a mysterious Samsung Galaxy Tab has emerged on the Geekbench benchmark. Considering the specs, it’s not part of the S7 series. Samsung seems to be preparing a new wave of competitive tablets alongside its new mid-range smartphones. The newly spotted tablet should come for the low-end segment as it was found in Geekbench with the Helio P22T. The Helio P22 series brings eight Cortex-A53 cores which aren’t the best performing ARM-based cores right now.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab will sport the SM-T225 model number. According to the Geekbench listing, firstly spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav, it will carry the MediaTek MT8768WT chipset. This chipset isn’t common, the reason is that is a tablet variant of the Helio P22. It’s also found inside of the Lenovo Tab M10 FHD Plus 2nd generation. The Galaxy Tab featuring this chipset achieved 810 points in the single-core and 3,439 points in the Multi-Core department.

GeekBench 4.0 which brings higher results than the current GeekBench 5.0 platform. The chipset operates at up to 2.3GHz which means that it’s an overclocked Helio P22 as the vanilla can’t go higher than 2.0GHz.

The tablet runs Android 11 which means that it will debut with One UI 3.0 or One UI 3.1 straight out of the box. SM-T225 model rumors suggest it is a Galaxy Tab A 8.4-inch. The last year’s Galaxy Tab 8.4 (2020) features a model number SM-T307 which is higher than the SM-T225. For that reason, we don’t think these devices are part of the same lineup.
