Honor is planning to launch a foldable smartphone segment later this year. Notably, this new foldable segment will be a part of the company's Magic series of smartphones.
Now, as per the latest tip from a Chinese tipster on Weibo (via Pocketnow), stated that HONOR is planning to launch a foldable phone under its Magic lineup this year.
The phone is expected to be a premium grade flagship smartphone from HONOR.
This new foldable smartphone lineup may introduce an out folding, in folding as well as a clamshell phone under the upcoming foldable Magic series.
There is no information on what type of display technology HONOR is planning to use. It is expected HONOR could use Samsung's display. Other details regarding the price or availability are not known at the moment.
Along with HONOR, OPPO is also planning to launch a foldable and rollable phone in the market this year. The undisputed king in this segment, Samsung, will also release its next-gen foldable this year.
