Apple releases an urgent iOS update for iPhone and iPad on Monday in the morning. Apple has started rolling out iOS 14.4.2, iPadOS 14.4.2, and watchOS 7.3.3 , and users should install the update as soon as possible.
Apple said, this update provides important security updates and is recommended for all users.
The update reportedly came in response to the discovery of a flaw that would allow hackers to enter malicious code on affected devices, and give them access to users' private data , details such as name, email address, and more. It understands that the vulnerability may have been exploited. The security support document states that the update fixes the bug that was actively exploited. It may lead to content processing.
The malicious web is based on global scripting across sites. Apple is aware of a report stating that this problem may have been effectively exploited. This problem was addressed through improved lifetime management of objects.
Apple said, in order to protect our customers, Apple does not disclose, discuss or confirm security issues until an investigation has been conducted and patches or versions are generally available.
The update is available for the following Apple devices
According to Apple's release notes, the update is available for iPhone 6s and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation).
Apple has also released a security patch update for iOS 12 , version 12.5.2, for devices that cannot be updated to iOS14.These devices include the iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, the third generation iPad mini, the first generation iPad Air, and the sixth generation of iPod Touch. The vulnerability also affects older iOS devices.

Apple iOS and iPadOS 14.4.2 updates are available on all eligible devices over the air in the Settings app; To update your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, go to Settings> General, then tap Software update. Click Download and Install
