Anker today announced the second generation of GaN Charger Modules that launch smaller and more efficiently charge the M1 MacBook Pro with fast performance.
The GaN Nano II series of charging units comes in a small size, with a higher ability to manage temperatures, as Anker explained that the interior design of the new charging units with the new upgrade in the chips supported the company in managing the heat in the units more efficiently.
The GaN Nano II series includes charging units with a capacity of 30W, 45W, and 65W, where the charging units start with the same design language, and each unit includes a USB-C port, the company’s PowerIQ 3.0 technology, and Anker confirm that the charging units work to allocate the ideal wattage for any device.
The GaN Nano II series also comes with 20% higher efficiency, and the new versions are characterized by a smaller size, as 30W comes in a 59% smaller size compared to the original version, and it supports charging iPhone phones with 3 times faster performance, and also supports Samsung's fast charging technology, and also charging the MacBook Air with fast performance, iPads and Nintendo Switch.
The 45W model is 34% smaller than the original version, and the charger supports more notebook computers, including the 2020 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13, Dell XPS 13, ThinkPad X390, Google Pixelbook, and also Microsoft Surface Book 2.
65W also supports charging the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and it supports a folding size 58% smaller than the 61W charger.
The GaN Nano II series is available for pre-order today through Amazon and Anker, and the 30W model starts at $ 30, the 45W model is priced at $ 36, and the 65W model is priced at $ 40.
