HTC Vive Pro 2 is the first virtual reality headset to launch with a 5K display resolution

HTC introduced the HTC Vive Pro 2 virtual reality glasses, which is the company's first version with a 5K resolution, and also introduced HTC Vive Focus 3, which comes with a professional design aimed at the business sector.

HTC Vive Pro 2 glasses are launched with two distinct screens with a resolution of 2.5K per panel, or 4896 by 2648 pixels for the two screens together, and the glasses also come with support for RGB sub-pixels, so each pixel includes 3 sub-pixels to cover the red color spectrum, Green next to blue.

HTC also confirms that the screens of the HTC Vive Pro 2 for virtual reality support higher color accuracy compared to OLED screens that include only 2 sub-pixels.

The Vive Pro 2 also includes two new compact lenses, which have been specially designed to reduce motion blur, and the glasses also support a 120-degree field of view, with a 120Hz refresh rate.

On the other hand, the Vive Pro 2 does not include an internal tracking system, and the design of the Vive Pro 2 mimics the previous version of HTC, as the new version comes with a head strap, and built-in 3D sounds, with an adjustable design from the back.

HTC also confirms that the Vive Pro 2 glasses will work with previous versions of accessories, which include Base Station 1.0, Base Station 2.0, Vive Wireless Adapter, and Vive controllers.

HTC Vive Pro 2 is scheduled to be available for pre-order now at a price of $ 749, or $ 799 after the end of the discount period provided for pre-booking requests, and it is scheduled to be available for sale on June 4.

HTC Vive Focus 3 glasses

The Vive Focus 3 virtual reality glasses are professionally designed targeting the business sector, the glasses also feature 5K resolution, and also use RGB sub-pixel technology in the screen, with dual-pressurized lenses, while the refresh rate is limited to 90Hz.

The virtual reality glasses Vive Focus 3 come with an integrated design with the Snapdragon XR2 processor from Qualcomm, with a tracking feature from the inside to the outside that mimics the Oculus Quest 2, and the glasses system comes with 4 high-resolution cameras, with optical controllers.

The Vive Focus 3 also features a design of magnesium alloy, also comes with a balanced design and weight, the glasses support fast charging, which can reach 50% within 30 minutes, and the Vive Focus 3 is scheduled to be available at a price of $ 1,300 on June 27th.
