Leica introduces its first Leitz Phone 1 have largest camera, 240Hz display and 5000mAh battery

Leica is famous for its high-quality cameras. She later began working with various phone manufacturers on cameras for their smartphones. The Sharp Aquos R6 smartphone was recently launched, with Leica working on a huge sensor. However, he now introduces his own Leitz Phone 1, where the camera, of course, plays a key role.

Leica's Leitz Phone 1 is here

If you have Sharp Aquos R6, you will certainly notice that the Leitz Phone 1 is very similar to it in several ways. A shining example of this is the display. We can find the same for both phones, ie IGZO OLED display with a resolution of 2730 x 1260 pixels and a variable refresh rate in the range of 1 to 240Hz. The size of the front panel then stopped at 6.6 inches. So there is nothing to complain about in the field of display panels.

But let's focus on what plays the most important role in this phone. The selfie camera offers 12.6 MPx and will play a rather less important role. However, on the other side of the phone, it takes place really interesting.

The Leica Leitz Phone 1 comes with a huge 1-inch sensor with a resolution of 20Mpx, an aperture of f / 1.9, and a focal length of 19mm, which is one of the largest in the mobile phone (together with the sensor of the Sharp Aquos R6). The ToF sensor or monochrome mode, which we know from classic Leica cameras, also comes in handy. It will be possible to attach a magnetic cover to the rear round module of the camera.

The Leitz Phone 1 will definitely please with a battery with a capacity of a decent 5,000 mAh, support for microSD cards up to 1 TB, water and dust resistance according to the iP68 standard, or an ultrasonic fingerprint reader.

The smartphone is run by 12GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, a Snapdragon 888 5G processor and the Android operating system in version 11. It freezes a bit that future owners will not see Android 12 straight away, but this smartphone still has other advantages.

This undoubtedly interesting photo car is currently an exclusivity in Japan, where it will start selling in July for approximately CZK 36,000. There is no information on expansion to other markets yet
