Samsung announces laptops with Snapdragon processor

Samsung announced the Galaxy Book Go and Galaxy Book Go 5G, two similar but different laptops. The former uses Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 chipset, while the latter has the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2. This is in place of Samsung's own Exynos processors.

The Galaxy Book Go series is designed for today's mobile users. who expect seamless communication, sustainable productivity, and immersive entertainment, all in one device.

With the new addition to the Galaxy Book, Samsung is offering its customers more options to choose the device that best suits their needs. Cellular connectivity is a key feature of these laptops, hence the word Go.

Samsung makes 4G laptops and 5G laptops across the board these days with the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Flex 2. And with ARM, the cellular modem is integrated into the chipset so it can do so at a lower price, even though the base model Galaxy Book Go only has wireless.

This computer starts at $349 and has the updated Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 processor that Qualcomm announced last month. Plus 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM. and 64GB or 128GB of eUFS storage. In addition, there is a 14-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels, the thickness of the laptop is 14.9 mm and its weight is 1.38 kg.

And the computer's 42.3-watt battery should have long battery life. In terms of ports, there are two USB Type-C ports, along with a USB Type-A port. This could be the first Windows device with an ARM processor with the old USB port. It also has a 3.5mm audio port and a microSD slot.

Samsung Galaxy phones can easily connect to Microsoft's Your Phone app by using Link to Windows. In addition, you can mirror the screen and install Android apps. And you can also extend your screen to the Galaxy Tab S7. The Galaxy Book Go is set to arrive this month with a starting price of $349. The Galaxy Book Go 5G is coming later this year.
