Samsung unveils Odyssey screens for the year 2021 with a flat design


The Korean giant revealed the new versions of the Odyssey gaming monitors for the year 2021, which feature a flat design and black color. Samsung moved this year to adopt the flat design in the new generation of Odyssey gaming monitors, as the new series of monitors include the G70A, G50A, and G30A.

Samsung offers a 28-inch screen G70A, a display resolution of 3840 by 2160 pixels in an IPS screen, which features a 144Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of up to 400 nits, and the screen supports VESA DisplayHDR 400 standards.

The G70A monitor also features AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology and is compatible with Nvidia G-SYNC standards. The monitor also includes a DisplayPort 1.4 port and two HDMI 2.1 ports that allow the monitor to connect to new versions of gaming devices such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X to support streaming gaming content with a precision of 4K at a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Auto Source Switch Plus feature in the monitor also automatically turns on and switches to the correct source of the device connected to the monitor. Samsung also offers a 27-inch screen G50A with a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels in an IPS screen, with a refresh rate of 165Hz, the screen also supports HDR10 content and a brightness of 350 nits.

The G50A monitor supports FreeSync Premium technology and is compatible with G-SYNC standards, and the monitor includes DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 for connectivity. Samsung G70A and G50A monitors provide an additional advantage in supporting picture-in-picture, or picture-to-picture, and the screens also come with Low Input Lag, Super Arena Gaming UX, an ultra-wide display in games, with CoreSync lighting, and the screen supports a 1ms response time. in GTG.

Samsung also presented the G30A screen, which is launched in two sizes, 27 or 24 inches, with VA panels and a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, and also supports a 144Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the screen does not support HDR content, and the brightness is limited to 250 nits, and the screen is compatible with FreeSync Premium standards only, the screen also comes with DisplayPort 1.2, and HDMI 1.4.

It is scheduled that Samsung will provide screens in black, and the screens also support adjusting the height and curvature by adjusting the screen holder, which also allows the screen to rotate.
