Apple has released an update for Mac computers. Small but useful

Apple has released macOS Big Sur 11.5, an operating system update for Mac computers. This is the fifth major update to the macOS Big Sur operating system, which debuted in November 2020. macOS Big Sur 11.5 came out two months after the release of macOS Big Sur 11.4.

The macOS Big Sur 11.5 Update is available as a free download on all compatible Macs from the Software Update section of System Preferences.

macOS Big Sur 11.5 is an update with minor changes and bug fixes. According to a note from Apple, the update improves the Podcasts app by allowing you to customize the library tab to display all shows or only subscribed ones.

The update also resolves an issue that prevented the play count or the last played date in the library from updating in the Apple Music app. We also fixed an issue that prevented smart cards from working when logging into Macs based on Apple M1 SoCs.

Apparently, this is one of the latest macOS Big Sur updates. In the fall we are waiting for the release of the stable version of macOS Monterey.
