Apple will use 120 Hz panels in the iPhone 14

The iPhone 13 will be released in September this year, but data on the next generation of Apple phones are already beginning to arrive. The iPhone 14 will be official in 2022, but we already know that the American firm plans to introduce panels with a 120 Hz refresh rate throughout the range, unlike this generation. In the phones that will launch in September, the firm will use only 120 Hz panels in the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, the two most advanced of the entire family.

Apple will change its strategy for next year because, in the iPhone 14 range, all the phones in it will use these panels with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It is not something that will be limited only to the most advanced models in it. LG would be the firm in charge of producing these panels for the 2022 phones.

Also, next year's generation would arrive with one less phone on it. Apple plans to eliminate the Mini model, which in its current generation is being a sales failure and the firm has already stopped producing.

So the iPhone 14 would leave us with three phones unless the firm decides to incorporate a new device, a fourth. Using panels with a 120Hz refresh rate will help make the gaming experience even better on these devices. We will have to wait for a little over a year for them to arrive.
