OPPO A16 has been in the news since the end of May. The budget smartphone is finally coming out officially in Indonesia. It comes with an entry-level MediaTek chipset, triple camera, and large battery. Let's take a closer look at the specs, price, and availability of the phone.
The recently launched OPPO A16 has a plastic construction just like any other smartphone available. It measures 163.8 x 75.6 x 8.4 mm and weighs 190 g. The device is available in three colors: Pearl Blue, Space Silver, and Crystal Black.
The front of the phone features a 6.52-inch LCD panel with 720 × 1600 pixels, 269 PPI, 60Hz refresh rate, and 60Hz touch sampling rate. The screen has a 71% NTSC color gamut, 1500: 1 contrast ratio, 480 nits brightness, 88.7% screen-to-body ratio, and a dewdrop notch.
Under the hood of the device is a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC paired with 3GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB eMMC 5.1 storage. There's also a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W standard charging. In terms of software, the phone runs ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.
