Original OnePlus Nord removed from sale

The OnePlus Nord was unveiled exactly a year ago, becoming the first mid-range OnePlus smartphone since the OnePlus X, and also laid the foundation for a new series of low-cost devices.

The successor to that phone, the OnePlus Nord 2, is set to debut today, with the company confirming that it has ended support for the original model. In principle, it was impossible to buy OnePlus Nord even in June, before the launch of OnePlus Nord CE 5G. Now it became known that the production of smartphones was curtailed. OnePlus Nord can no longer be purchased online or in retail stores.

It makes sense since the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2 is rumored to have exactly the same prices:

  • 8/128 GB - about $ 400;
  • 12/256 GB - about $ 470.

According to previous reports, the OnePlus Nord 2 will feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with FHD + resolution with a 90Hz refresh rate and an integrated fingerprint reader. The smartphone will be built on the basis of the MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI single-chip system, which will be supplemented with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory. The main camera will be equipped with image sensors with a resolution of 50 and 8 megapixels, which will receive wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses. The third image sensor will have a resolution of 2 megapixels. The front camera will be 32MP. OnePlus Nord 2 will be equipped with a 4500 mAh battery with support for Warp Charge fast charging technology.
