Samsung officially unveils The Frame TV


Samsung introduced a new version of the 85-inch The Frame TV, today, Monday, in South Korea, to be launched in more markets around the world. The 85-inch Frame is priced at 6,690,000 KRW (about $5,800) in South Korea, and the device is already available at Samsung Digital Plaza stores across the country. The Frame TV also comes with a virtual wooden frame.

The 2021 version of The Frame TV is 50% slimmer than the 2020 version and features a Slim Fit Wall-Mount design, which means the TV fits perfectly against the wall. You can also place it on a table since this version of TV comes with a table stand. 

The TV features a QLED (4K) screen with support for HDR10, HDR10 +, and HLG technology and a high refresh rate of 120 Hz with support for the new AMD brand FreeSync Premium Pro. The Frame also features a Quantum Processor 4K and runs on the Tizen operating system that has apps for all the popular audio and video streaming services, and includes Alexa, Bixby, and Google Assistant as well.

It contains a motion sensor to automatically turn on the TV when you enter the room, while the sound and brightness sensors adjust screen brightness and TV volume according to surrounding conditions. The new device features 4 speakers, auto low latency mode, Game Bar, Super Ultrawide Game View (aspect ratio of 21:0 and 32:9 while gaming), and a VESA 400 x 400 mount.

It also has four HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB ports, an Ethernet port, and an HDMI CEC that contains Microsoft 365, Remote PC, and Wireless DeX to connect the device to any smartphone. Other features of the TV include Adaptive Picture to improve display quality in different environments and Ambient Sound + to improve sound quality.

Samsung has added SpaceFit Sound to its device, ensuring an audio experience that is fully compatible with the standard listening environment, Q-Symphony, Object Tracking Sound Lite, MultiView, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2 with LE, NFC, Samsung Health, Samsung TV +, SmartThings, and remote control.
