The new MacBook Air will use the M2 chip

Apple is working on new computers, some of which we hope will become official this fall, but others will take a year or two to arrive. One of them is a new MacBook Air, which could also be the laptop in which the new M2 chip is used for the first time. This model would arrive next year on the market.

Apple would officially present this new laptop in the first half of the year, so we still have a few months to get to know this new model from the manufacturer.

The M2 will be Apple's new processor, which is expected to incorporate a notable leap in performance and power consumption in the range of Apple notebooks. It is not known when this processor will be presented yet, but it seems that the one in charge of releasing it will be this MacBook Air that will be made official at the beginning of next year.

Before this model, the American firm would leave us with the new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro, which we have already talked about in these weeks. So many new models are coming in these months.

If these plans are true, Apple this time would divide the launch of the new MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro, leaving one this fall and another next year. It is one of the few times that the firm does this, but it is not yet known for sure if this will happen.
