The official announcement of the Huawei P50 and P50 Pro phones


Huawei today announced the Huawei P50 and P50 Pro phones with Kirin 9000 and Snapdragon 888 processors with the feature of connecting to 4G networks. The Huawei event was launched today to announce the Huawei P50 series of phones, which includes two versions with improvements in the camera settings and processors that support connectivity to 4G networks, among other features, we review in the coming lines.

The cameras in my P50 and P50 Pro phones come with the Leica brand, and support 10 channels in the sensor color, with improvements in the telephoto camera. The camera settings in the P50 phones include the same 50-megapixel main sensor, 23 mm focal length, and f/1.8 lens slot, and the camera also supports optical stabilization.

The P50 Pro phone also comes with a 40-megapixel sensor for the black and white camera, which features a focal length of 26 mm and f/1.6 lens slot, also settings include a 13-megapixel sensor with wide viewing angles with a focal length of 13 mm, and an f/2.2 lens slot, and supports Camera autofocus laser.

The settings also include a periscope lens that features a focal length of 90 mm, with a 64-megapixel sensor to support the zoom feature in higher flexibility and digital zoom up to 2700 mm, with a lens aperture of f/3.5, and OIS.

The P50 also includes a periscope lens for the first time in the flagship versions, which features a focal length of 125 mm, supports up to 5 times zoom in a 12-megapixel sensor, f/3.4 lens, and supports optical stabilization.

Also, the camera settings in this version include a 13-megapixel sensor with wide viewing angles, with a focal length of 16 mm lenses, and both phones have a 13-megapixel selfie sensor. Huawei offers the P50 Pro with XD Fusion Pro technology, a system that doubles the amount of light that is higher than the P40 Pro by 28%.

Both phones also support 4K video recording, with support for slow-motion video recording at 1080p resolution at 960 frames per second. Huawei offers the Huawei P50 Pro phone in two models, where the first model features the Kirin 9000 processor chip, while the second model comes with a Snapdragon 888 processor chip, and the two models support only 4G networks.

On the other hand, the Pro phone comes with 8 GB RAM in the main model, while the storage capacity comes between 128, 256, or 512 GB, and the phone also supports external storage in an NM card up to 256 GB, and a special version of Huawei is available with a capacity 512 GB storage and 12 GB RAM.

Huawei also offers the P50 phone with only one model that includes a Snapdragon 888 processor chip and supports 4G networks only, with 8 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 128 or 256 GB, and it also comes with a microSD card slot, and the phones run with the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system.

The P50 Pro features a 6.6-inch OLED screen, a display resolution of 1225 by 2700 pixels, a display density of 450 pixels per inch, and support for HDR technology, with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a touch rate of 300Hz.

While the P50 comes with a 6.5-inch OLED screen, 90Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch speed, and supports HDR content. In the battery capacity, the Pro version includes a 4360 mAh battery, while the main version comes with a 4100 mAh battery capacity, and both phones support 66W fast charging technology via the USB C port, and 50W wireless charging.

The two phones also include stereo speakers and the P50 Pro and P50 phones support IP68 standards in water and dust resistance, and the P50 Pro is scheduled to be available in 5 colors, while the main version comes with 3 choices in colors, and the two phones are available for global markets.
